GIOVANNA COIMBRA

CAREER

Giovanna Coimbra was born in São Paulo / SP on June 23, 1999. At the age of 10 she became interested in basketball. From the age of 11 to 15, she wore the Botafogo shirt. During her time as an athlete, she also frequented the fashion world, participating in editorials and on the catwalks. Giovanna was elected Miss Teen Rio de Janeiro in 2016. When she joined the Engineering course at UERJ (Rio de Janeiro State University), she was immediately included on the basketball team.

Her beginnings as an actress took place in 2019 in the soap opera “Verão 90”, on Globo. It was a short role, playing the younger character of Débora Nascimento. In the same year, Globo invited her to play a role in “Bom Sucesso” where she played “Gabriela”, a character who, like Giovanna, liked basketball.

After the positive repercussion of her work Giovanna Coimbra was called by Record to play “Diná”, the only daughter of Jacó, who has a strong presence in “José do Egypt”, the last saga of the soap opera “Gênesis”, which went on air in 2021 .
