CAREER
Jesuton, stage name of Rachel Jesuton Olaolu Amosu is a British singer who began to achieve success by singing on the streets of Rio de Janeiro and with videos of people who watched her performances that were posted on websites such as YouTube. She is known for covering artists such as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Roberta Flack and The Rolling Stones.
In 2013 she recorded three songs, I'll Never Love This Way Again, for the soundtrack of the soap opera Salve Jorge, Holocene for Flor do Caribe and Because You Loved Me, for Sangue Bom, all from Rede Globo.
In 2014, the singer also released “Show Me Your Soul”, a DVD with reinterpretations of soul music classics that featured the special participation of Marcelo D2.
Released in 2017, HOME, her first album of original songs, produced by the revered Mario Caldato Jr. (Beastie Boys, Marisa Monte, Seu Jorge), revealed Jesuton as the composer.
The singer moved to Brazil at the beginning of 2012. She was discovered shortly after that her videos were posted on the internet by presenter Luciano Huck. In less than four months, she was also hired by the record label Som Livre to record her studio album.
