CAREER
She began her artistic career as a model in 2005, at the age of 14, but only became known after debuting as an actress in the television series Malhação (2007–09), shown on TV Globo, playing Felipa Gentil. However, she only achieved fame when playing preppy Alice Albuquerque, one of the six main characters in the soap opera Rebelde (2011–12), shown on RecordTV. Along with Rebelde, the band Rebeldes was formed, which left the soap opera for real life, together with its other five protagonists – Chay Suede, Mel Fronckowiak, Lua Blanco, Micael Borges and Arthur Aguiar – the musical group released two albums of studio and one live between 2011 and 2012, with their eponymous debut album selling 120 thousand copies.
In 2013, Abrahão returned to TV Globo and obtained roles in soap operas such as Amor à Vida (2013), Alto Astral (2014) and Salve-se Quem Puder (2021). In 2014, she debuted as a writer with the book O Reino das Vozes que Não se Calam, co-written alongside Carolina Munhóz, selling more than 50 thousand copies and obtaining a sequel the following year. In October 2015, she released her self-titled debut album Sophia Abrahão. The following year, Abrahão received a nomination for a Latin Grammy, in the category of Best New Artist. Between 2017 and 2019, she gained prominence when she debuted as a television presenter on the Vídeo Show program.
